Since the very first art class when Silvano decided to become a graphic designer, his passion for sketchbooks, and books in general, has continued to grow. As a true Italian mountain lover, Silvano has a deep connection to his family village in the Italian Alps. Curious by nature, he keeps his eyes open for every new and interesting thing or place. Edouard
So Edouard decided to change his professional environment, and eventually, his extremely varied course led him to the Vidale-Gloesener design team. A French speaker, he’s working hard to understand Luxembourgish and German. When he’s not cheerfully explaining the subtleties of his rapidly developing linguistic skills, Edouard enjoys helping his colleagues develop a keener understanding of French culture and habits. Pas mal Edouard!

Sebastian
From calligraphic typography to digital illustration, Sebastian likes diversity. In addition to his work at Vidale-Gloesener he has created his own business in Floral Design with a unique aesthetic feeling. A versatile designer at Vidale-Gloesener with a sweet tooth, Sebastian manages his chocolate addiction with yoga. He grew up in Germany but has lived in Luxembourg for a couple of years now. Diversity develops creativity
Jill
Jill is a dynamic designer and a passionate badminton champion with a lot of energy. Born in Luxembourg, she moved to Germany, where she gained some design experience, before returning to Luxembourg and joining Vidale-Gloesener. Her newest project was born from a big love for nature and regional products: Jill has become a beekeeper, producing her own delicious honey. Bravo Jill!
Always rising to the challenge, in life and design
Vidale-Gloesener is the result of true friendship and a shared love of design.
Tom and Silvano met at the Lycée technique des arts et métiers (LTAM) in 1992. Immediately recognising each other as kindred spirits, they decided to take the same path.
After finishing college in Luxembourg in 1996 they both grabbed their favourite books and headed for the Norwich school of art and design (NSAD), in the United Kingdom.
The two students began working together on a series of small projects during their time together at the LTAM. The jobs ranged from a handball club poster to the decoration of a Sales-Lentz Bus, the livery of the LAR helicopter to a full corporate identity for Tom’s brother, Bob Gloesener. Each project served an important role in developing the working methods and general approach to design which now define Vidale-Gloesener.
After graduating in 1999 the duo decided to take the leap and open their own design studio. Since then, Vidale-Gloesener has grown to become a seven-person practice. Both the studio founders have been very committed to the design community, each president of Design associations. Tom at Design Luxembourg and Silvano as founder and first President of Design Friends.
